Nintendo has released a brand-new demo for upcoming puzzle-platformer Mario Vs. Donkey Kong. The free demo is out now on the Nintendo Switch eShop and comes ahead of the full game’s release on 16 February
In the demo, players will get a taste for Mario’s latest outing with four levels to try out. The game is a remake of the 2004 Game Boy Advance title. This enhanced version that promises new levels, new ways to play, and new modes.
In Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, Mario sets out to thwart his long time frenemy, Donkey Kong. It seems DK has become obsessed with collecting a new Mini Mario toy; when he learns that the store is sold out, he ambushes the toy factory itself to nab the mechanical little dolls. Naturally, Mario sets out to set things right.
Mario’s goal is to collect the keys within each level to rescue the Mini-Marios. The demo also gives us a chance to try the all-new two-player mode, teaming up as Mario and Toad. The new game also features two modes: Classic and Casual, allowing players to customize their experience to a degree.
