Nintendo has officially opened registration for the Nintendo Account service in Japan. Anyone who registers before Feb. 1st will receive 100 yen ($.80) for every 1000 yen ($8) spent in the eShop

No word on open registration for the rest of the world, but I’m sure we will hear something soon.

Last year Nintendo discontinued the long running Club Nintendo service and promised something that would branch all digital devices. Earlier this year we found out that service would be called Nintendo Account and would work across Nintendo platforms, as well as PC and smart devices.

The service will also link to Nintendo’s new award service called My Nintendo, which will launch early 2016.
