(Reuters) – Japan’s Nintendo Co Ltd (7974.OS) on Wednesday cut its sales forecast for its DS handheld game console to 23.5 million units for the financial year through March 2011 from 30 million units previously. The company said the revised figure includes 4 million units of the 3D-capable version, which will be released in Japan on Feb. 26 and in the United States in March. Nintendo also cut its sales target for the Wii console to 17.5 million units from 18 million units for the current financial year.
