As another week begins it’s time to get excited about the releases primed to hit the Wii U and 3DS eShops this Thursday in Europe. This week sees more DLC for Super Smash Bros., a new way to use your amiibos through classic virtual console samples, and plenty of discounts to boot.

Check out the full list below and let us know which games will be added to your collection this week.

Wii U eShop

  • Sin & Punishment: Successor of the Skies (Nintendo, €14.99 / £13.49 until 7th May, then €19.99 / £17.99) – this long-awaited sequel to a game originally on the Wii comes packed with fast-paced shooting, crazy enemy designs and an utterly bizarre storyline to create a challenging action shooter.
  • amiibo Touch & Play: Nintendo Classic Highlights (Nintendo, free) – Nintendo’s latest use for all those amiibo figures we’ve been hunting and gathering is a free app that contains segments of 30 Virtual Console games. By scanning an amiibo you will unlock a random game sample to try. You can also assign an amiibo to a specific game to take on up to 10 three minute scenes from that title.

3DS eShop

  • Excave II: Wizard of the Underworld (Bergsala Lightweight, €10.00 / £8.99) – It didn’t take long for this sequel to make its way to the West, bringing more dungeon-crawling hacking and slashing to the 3DS. Though it’s had a price hike since the original, we still gave this a solid recommendation in our Excave II: Wizard of the Underworld review.
