Another week begins and it’s time to reveal the latest round of downloadable delights heading to the eShop in Europe this Thursday. This week we see another Wii Virtual Console release, a major 3DS release, plenty of interesting indie games and some great discounts to boot.

Wii U eShop

  • Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus (Aksys Games, €13.34/ £12.09) – this 2D platforming epic also has RPG elements, featuring NPC interaction, over 30 hours of gameplay and a lot of unlockables. It also boasts attractive visuals and plenty of gameplay to make it a potential target this week.
  • Lovely Planet (tinyBuild Games, €9.99/ £7.99, or €8.49/ £6.74 until 7th May for those with the E3@Home demo on the same Nintendo Network ID) – this colorful and charming shooter sees you run, jump and shoot through stages as artfully as possible.
  • Asdivine Hearts (KEMCO, €9.99/ £8.99) – this fantasy RPG sees you take on an adventure with your companions, including a pet cat. The world is being overtaken by a malevolent shadow, with side quests and a battle arena to add more depth.
  • SUPER ROBO MOUSE (RCMADIAX, €4.49/ £4.09) – here you guide ROBO through a series of top-down mazes and challenges in order to find the exit.
  • Epic Dumpster Bear (Log Games, €9.49/ £7.49) – this platformer boasts over 70 levels of classic action with bonus levels that take advantage of the GamePad. You control a rather agile bear as you jump through stages of platforms and take on foes like giant wasps.

Wii U Virtual Console

  • Wario Land: The Shake Dimension (Nintendo, €19.99/ £17.99) – this Wii title comes from 2008 and uses the waggle of your Wiimote in a stylish 2D platformer. The visuals are impressive as you guide Wario through five continents to rescue a kidnapped queen, in the hope of earning the bottomless coin sack.

In this retro-inspired top-down experience, the hero can’t be beaten, so you’ll use him to protect the witch while gathering monster blood so she can use magic.

3DS Retail Download

  • Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (Nintendo, €39.99/ £34.99) – the portable version of the Mario and Sonic’s latest Olympic clash includes amiibo support and new sports like rugby and golf. Available from 8th April.
