Another week begins and it’s time to find out what’s hitting the European eShop this Thursday. There’s a mixed bag of releases, with a few potentially interesting 3DS titles amidst some Wii U discounts.

3DS eShop

  • Butterfly: Inchworm Animation II (Flat Black Films, € 7.99) – this is a follow-up to the DSiWare game, with this iteration bringing more complex tools plus stereoscopic 3D. It’s an app designed to animate drawings, stop-motion of a combination of both, with some smart features, including the ability to record your own sound effects and share your work online.
  • Mini Golf Resort (Teyon, €4.99) – use angles and timing to get through tricky course challenges, with character customization, with a massive 1001 holes on 56 courses across four worlds, with plenty of bonuses to collect along the way.
  • Word Search 10K (Lightwood Games, €7.99) – Lightwood Games bring another word search game to the eShop, though this ambitious title will have you searching for an enormous list of 10,000 words in a grid of 90,000 letters, split into 100 sections.
  • Candy, Please! (Nostatic Software, €2.25) – this game sets you the task of creating Halloween costumes to scare your neighbors into giving you candy.

New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console

  • Castlevania: Dracula X (Konami, €7.99) – this is the 1995 SNES port of the PC Engine’s Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. The port didn’t quite stand up to previous entries in the vampire-slaying series.
