The eShop continues to grow each week, with Mondays bringing the news of what’s to come in just a few short days. The latest round of downloadable delights due to hit the European eShop this Thursday include a nice mix of mostly puzzle games, plus a new LEGO adventure, plenty of DLC, discounts aplenty, and more besides.

Wii U eShop

  • Ziggurat (Milkstone Studios, €15.00 / £12.00) – you play the role of a sorcerer who must pass a final test in a procedurally-generated labyrinth, battling mythological creatures. This first-person dungeon crawler offers the usal perks, such as items to collect, characters to unlock, bosses to fight and levelling up to do.
  • Midnight 2 (Petite Games, €1.99 / £1.79) – this sequel offers more gravity-based puzzles where you’re tasked with propelling a ball through various stages.

Wii U Retail Download

  • LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (WB Games, €49.99 / £39.99) – the latest LEGO flim adaptation is here, this time bringing the most recent Star Wars movie into the fold. You can expect the usual humor and puzzle platforming we’ve come to expect from the LEGO brand, as well as new and exclusive story scenes. Note: available from 28 June.

  • BOXBOXBOY! (Nintendo, €4.99 / £4.49) – HAL Laboratory’s little box returns in this sequel to BOXBOY, freshly announced at this month’s E3. Once again you’ll play as Qbby the box, who can create more boxes to solve puzzles by climbing higher, across gaps, or blocking lasers. The sequel comes with a new ability of using two sets of boxes at once, and features all-new levels to try out, along with quirky collectibles and charm.
  • The Battle Cats POP! (PONOS, €9.99 / £8.99) – this 2D tower defense game was originally released on smart devices, and boasts a charming visual style featuring warrior cats of a wide and humorous variety. This will also feature a multiplayer VS mode and is available from 27 June.

3DS Retail Downloads

  • Zero Time Dilemma (Aksys Games, €39.99 / £32.00) – this is the third in the popular adventure series, following Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and Virtue’s Last Reward. The dark plot sees nine kidnap victims locked in a room by a person going by the name “Zero”. The game itself features a mix of narrative elements followed by puzzle sections where you’ll have to attempt to escape a room. Your decisions affect the story too, with multiple endings on offer. Note: available from 28 June.
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (WB Games, €39.99 / £29.99) – the portable version of this LEGO adventure is available from 28 June.
  • Teddy Together (Nintendo, €39.99 / £34.99) – a friendship game designed for young children where you care for and interact with a teddy bear that’s come to life. Note: available from 1 July.

  • Fire Emblem Fates – Map 9: Anna on the Run (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79 or part of map pack 1) – This one’s all about Anna. You get the privilege of lending her a hand against a bunch of bizarre bandits. If you win, she’ll join your army.
