Mondays bring such promise as we look fondly to the upcoming releases for the European (and Australian) eShop in just a few short days. This Thursday we’ll be treated with the latest Disney Infinity sets, more Mega virtual console fun, plus handheld retro remixing and some great discounts across both Wii U and 3DS platforms.

Wii U Retail

  • Disney Infinity 2.0: Play without limits (Disney Interactive Studios, €19.99/ £17.99 until 13/11/2014, 23:59 UTC. Regular price will be €29.99/ £24.99) – the next level of Disney’s interactive figurines brings your favorite Marvel Super Heroes to life with a bigger Toy Box and all-new Play Sets. The first Super Heroes were already released in September, and with this Toy Box Combo Starter Pack you’ll get Merida and Stitch as playable characters, two Toybox Game Discs, the Infinity Base, a web code card and a poster.
  • Disney Planes: Fire & Rescue (Little Orbit, €39.99 / £34.99 ) – another Disney game, this time based on the recently-released Planes movie sequel. This time you’ll be helping Dusty battle massive fires to learn how to become a true hero. Battle fires and save lives in over 30 Fire & Rescue Missions. There are 8 playable characters to try, including Dusty, Lil‘ Dipper and Blade.

Wii U eShop

  • The Swapper (Curve Digital, €14.99 / £11.99) – a side-scrolling, puzzle-platform game where you control an individual stranded on a damaged space station. To escape, you must explore the station to find orbs, which activate certain doors. You also control a cloning device to help with your mission, allowing you to swap your consciousness into new bodies. This is a narrative-driven sci-fi adventure with a Metroidvania style of gameplay.

Wii U Virtual Console

  • Mega Man X3 (Capcom, €7.99 / £5.49) – hailing from 1996, this was originally a SNES title and features a fictional futuristic world inhabited by intelligent robots called Reploids. You can play as Mega Man or Zero in more classic run-and-gun gameplay, collecting armour and new enhancement chips to upgrade your abilities.
  • Mega Man 7 (Capcom, €7.99 / £5.49) – more Mega-action from the SNES, this time from 1995. Here, Mega Man must once again stop the evil Dr. Wily from wreaking havoc on the world. Dr Wily has escaped from captivity with the help of a new set of Robot Masters. Mega Man gets help from old friends plus the mysterious robot pair Bass and Treble.

3DS Retail

  • Ultimate NES Remix (Nintendo, €39.99 / £34.99)  – choc-full of retro remixes, this portable version of the Wii U game provides over 250 bite-sized challenges in all their 8-bit glory. You’ll have to master challenges across 16 NES titles, from the original Super Mario Bros. and Punch-Out!!,  to The Legend of Zelda and Metroid. Each level will earn you stars, opening more levels and challenges. Remix stages change the rules altogether, adding a twist to the games you know and love.

  • I Love My Horse (Bigben Interactive, €24.99 / £19.99) – horse enthusiasts may enjoy opening their own horse resort to raise and train horses, competing against others to win awards for agility, racing and show-jumping. Care for your horses to keep them happy and healthy by feeding, brushing and petting them.
  • Petz Beach (Ubisoft, €19.99 / £19.99) – care for a wide variety of dogs and cats, plus exotic seaside animals likes dolphins and polar bears, all while exploring the beach town and completing quests and activities. You can expand your town, welcome new pets and unlock new buildings in this pet-sim.
  • Petz Countryside (Ubisoft, €19.99 / £19.99) – another pet-sim, this time featuring a countryside setting and creatures like pandas and zebras. With quests and activities, you can expand your village, welcome new pets and unlock new buildings too.

3DS eShop

  • Football Up Online (EnjoyUp Games, €3.99 / £3.59) – a funny soccer game allowing you to control your team by dribbling and shooting your way to victory. With online play, you can compete with players from around the world.
