Monday brings with it such hope and promise as Nintendo reveals the latest line of games to be release on the eShop this week. It’s a particularly big week, with the long-awaited Hyrule Warriors making its Western debut for the Wii U and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call hitting the 3DS, among many other downloads and discounts.

Wii U Retail Download

  • Hyrule Warriors (Nintendo, €49.99 / £39.99) – the unprecedented cross-over between Tecmo Koei and Nintendo hits the West after glowing reviews in Japan last month, bringing with it a combination of Dynasty Warriors and The Legend of Zelda. There’s an impressive cast to choose from in your quest through Hyrule, with local co-op play and a retro-infused Adventure mode. It blends Zelda nostalgia with hack ‘n slash action in a way you’ve never seen, and is available from 19th September.

  • KickBeat: Special Edition (Zen Studios, €9.99 / £8.99) – an action rhythm game that combines the skills of Kung-Fu moves with those of keeping to the beat. There’s a range of bands on offer, including the likes of Pendulum, P.O.D and Celldweller. This one is available from 16th September.
  • Darts Up (EnjoyUp Games, €2.49 / £2.29 ) – originally released on the 3DS, this 4-player dart-throwing game uses the GamePad to aim, and includes some new features, like an arcade mode and online leaderboards.
  • Chimpuzzle Pro (CW Games, €1.99 / £1.79) – a simple concept that sees you follow a chimp who  keeps walking, seemingly oblivious to potential pitfalls. Your goal is to use Tetris-like blocks to help the little primate reach his precious banana stash.
  • Mon Premier Karaoké (Ring Zero, €9.99 / £8.99) – this karaoke game is aimed for kids, purportedly featuring the most famous children’s songs of all time.
