Nintendo is going full-force with their Amiibo suport this holiday season.  The first set of twelve Amiibos will release alongside Smash Bros. for Wii U on November 21st.  During December, will release six more Amiibo figures, totaling the number to eighteen.  Here is the current list of games with Amiibo support:

Captain Toad’s Treasure Tracker (Wii U): No details at this time.
Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS:
Mario Kart 8 (Wii U):  Compatible Amiibos, will unlock character-themed suits for Miis to wear.  The list of compatible Amiibos thus far are: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, DK, Samus, Link, Captain Falcon, Fox,  and Link.
Hyrule Warriors (Wii U): Link Amiibo unlocks a new weapon for Link: The Spinner, which was the weapon Link found in the Desert Temple in Twilight Princess.  Other Amiibos that are compatible for Smash Bros can be scanned in to receive bonus Rupees, Weapons, and Materials. This functionality will be added with this month’s software update for the game, which adds the Twilight Princess Pack for those who purchase the DLC.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Wii U):  No details at this time

Yoshi’s Woolly World (Wii U): No details at this time

Mario Party 10 (Wii U): No details at this time
