VIDEO GAMES LIVE IN JAPAN DURING TOKYO GAME SHOW 2009


LOS ANGELES, CA – September 20, 2009 –
After touring the globe for over 4 years to sold out audiences around the world, the award winning Video Games Live is proud to announce its first ever shows in Japan taking place during the week of the Tokyo Game Show. Game composers from around the world will be performing and taking part in what is being billed as one of the greatest video game concert to ever be produced. The show will also be the first non-Japanese produced game concert to be performed in Japan.

Two shows will be taking place at the very prestigious Tokyo International Hall (Hall A) which is the largest indoor theatre in Tokyo boasting over 5,000 seats. Over 140+ musicians will be on stage including the Tokyo New City Symphony and 80 members of the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music Chorus.

New Rock Band DLC from Pearl Jam, Megadeth and the Fratellis

Cambridge, Mass. – Sept. 18, 2009 – Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that the entirety of Pearl Jam’s new album Backspacer will be added to the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation® 3 computer entertainment system and Wii™ immediately surrounding the album’s retail release. The album hits shelves Sept. 20, and will be added to the Rock Band Music Store for Xbox 360 on Sept. 20, for Wii on Sept. 22, and for PlayStation 3 on Sept 24. Additional tracks from Megadeth and The Fratellis will be available for download next week for Rock Band Unplugged on PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system.
