Happy Friday! With the week almost over, it’s time to check out the games on our radar at the moment and prepare for the weekend. The Pure Nintendo team has been super busy, with everything from classics to the latest games, and we’ve collated our favorites from this week.
Are you looking for inspiration this weekend? Check out our playlist below – and let us know which games are on your playlist right now in the comments section.

- Twilight Princess HD (Wii U): This has been an AWESOME experience! I loved the original and I love this beautiful remake! It’s nice being able to take my time and look at all of the awesome details I never noticed before. Plus, seeing Link shirtless in HD was a nice surprise ;) I just now completed the Goron Mines and am exploring a little bit. I can’t wait until I can switch back and forth between wolf and human Link whenever I want.
- Pokemon Yellow (3DS VC): Well since last time I updated you guys I’ve made it to Vermilion city and defeated all of the trainers on the S.S Anne and LT Surge for my newest gym badge. My team now consists of Pikachu, Charmeleon, Ivysaur, Squirtle, Mankey and Nidoking. Pretty awesome if I do say so myself ;)

- Twilight Princess HD (Wii U): Katelyn and I have been playing a lot of this all week. We have 16 heart containers, collected all the bugs, and are just past the Sky Temple. We’re in collecting mode now trying to get everything before we venture back into the twilight!
- Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (3DS): Picked up Alpha Sapphire again after playing Pokemon Blue. Building my anticipation for Pokemon Sun / Moon!
Trevor
- Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (3DS): I finally bought this title; I’m expecting my Animal Crossing amiibo card collection to grow in the weeks ahead as a result.
- Paper Mario: Sticker Star (3DS): Seeing Paper Mario Color Splash: announced during last week’s Nintendo Direct put me in the mood to revisit this 3DS game.
Alex
- Pokemon Red Version (3DS VC): Now that I’ve become the champ, it’s time to fill up that pokedex! So far I’ve caught 101 of the pocket monsters. Won’t be long until I catch ’em all!

Twilight Princess HD (Wii U): After some difficulties, I finally got my hands on this game. The wolf Link amiibo looks awesome, and it has been great getting to revisit this title.
Matt
- Mega Man Legacy Collection (3DS): What can I say? It’s Mega Man!
- Splatoon (Wii U): Worst case scenario. My team got their butt kicked over and over again by the same Japanese team on Squid Squad. We’ll get our revenge next time! #TeamPNM
- Hand of Panda (3DS): Review will be up soon.
- Legend of Legacy (3DS): Thought I would try something new.
- Super Mario Maker (Wii U): Played through some of the event matches. The ones from that Tokaigi 2016 Contest were a lot of fun.

- This week, I’m currently reviewing a video game that I can’t talk about, unfortunately. Fortunately, I am playing Pokemon Yellow for the very first time! Yay, Pokemon! Somehow, back in the day, I missed the opportunity to play this video game. Thank goodness it finally landed a spot on the Nintendo 3DS eShop ^_^V

- U Host (Wii U): I reviewed U Host during the week and really enjoyed playing the role of a game show host. This is a game made by a developer who has put a lot of time and effort into making something fun for the whole family, and is worth checking out.
- Inside My Radio (Wii U): I’ve been playing this for an upcoming review, and I have to say, I have really enjoyed it! It’s like a platformer crossed with a rhythm game, with some fantastic beats to keep you going.
- Defense Dome (Wii U): I played this for an upcoming review too, which will not be very positive unfortunately :(
