Pokémon GO has quietly launched in several regions around the world.

The augmented reality (AR) game is rolling out on iOS and Android devices in parts of the US (Android only), Australia and New Zealand, with more regions presumably to follow.

The mobile game, which was in a closed beta mode until today, uses AR to bring Pokémon into the real world, using your mobile device to catch ’em all in real-world locations.

Pokémon GO is free to download, with microtransactions available to enhance the experience. An optional accessory can also be purchased that vibrates when a Pokémon is nearby.

Download the game now from the Google Play store (US/AU/NZ) or Apple iTunes (AU/NZ only at this stage).
