Editor’s note

With Purenintendo.com and Pure Nintendo magazine, Nintendo releasing the Wii U and all it brings, we were needing some help. After hearing the call for help, and surviving a plethora of our questions, Alex Schramke has joined our team. On behalf of Pure Nintendo we are very excited to have Alex and his opinions on our staff. Now, let me leave it to him introduce himself.

My name is Alex Schramke, and I am really excited to be part of the Pure Nintendo team. I am 24 years old, and I studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design to get my Bachelors degree in Interactive Media and Game Design. I chose to break into this industry because I have a passion for video games, and my favorite developer of all time is Nintendo.

My favorite game series is the Legend of Zelda, and I currently have a complete collection of all of the games, from skyward sword to the Zelda game and watch, all with their boxes and manuals. I love the games because they are such a perfect mix of exploration and puzzle solving. I also have a soft spot for platforming games. I own most Nintendo systems, from Nes, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, to Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advanced, GBA Micro, DS, and 3DS. I have never owned a Virtual Boy, but I’d like to someday. I have a secret fear though that the red screen would give me a monster headache.

When I’m not playing video games, I enjoy playing disc golf at the park (for those who don’t know, disc golf is like regular golf, but with Frisbees). I don’t watch much TV, but right now I’m hooked on Nickelodeon’s show Avatar: The Legend of Korra. I am a big 90’s cartoon fan, and if you name a cartoon from that era I can probably sing the theme song for you. I’ve always considered myself a big kid at heart because I have a pretty goofy sense of humor, and I think legos and action figures are awesome.

In general, I’m just a goofy, laid back guy who enjoys Nintendo games and spending time with friends. I hope the articles and reviews I contribute will help this website grow, and I look forward to making lots of new friends along the way.

Alex will be introduced by fire as he starts helping out during E3 next week. What a great time to start? I am sure he will do fine and I am sure you will enjoy what he will bring to the site and magazine.
