This week on the Pure Nintendo Podcast, Kirk and Jemma talk about what to expect at this week’s PAX Aus event in Melbourne. We also get into the games we’re playing right now and start talking about some festive titles!
Last week we chatted with the excellent folk over at Krome Studios about their new release TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4. We talk a little more about this title, since Jemma has spent some time with it during the week. Don’t forget to check out the full interview as well!
Meanwhile, Kirk has been playing another Amico castoff after last week’s voyage into Shark! Shark! territory. This week, it’s all about Dynablaster, a Bomberman-esque title that first came about many moons ago on the Atari.
Next up is Fate/Samurai Remnant, a new title that Kirk is reviewing. It leads to a fun discussion about musou games, where one warrior takes on 100s or 1000s of enemies at once.
Is it too early to talk about the holoiday season? Maybe, but that hasn’t stopped the release of a new title from Mindscape that takes the concept of an advent calendar and gamifies it. It sounds super fun, to be honest!
It’s definitely not too soon to talk about Halloween, and we chat about horror games in general plus a couple of stand-out memories. We’ll bring you more on this theme throughout the month of October, so stay tuned!
