This week on the Pure Nintendo Podcast, Kirk and Jemma discuss the latest controversy around Palworld and whether it breaches copyright by being too similar to Pokémon.

Last week, we talked about Golden Sun, Sea of Stars, and many other games. This week, before we get to the games we’re playing, we kick things off with an in-depth discussion on Palworld, which was recently released for Steam. It’s taken the world by storm, for better or worse, and has also sparked a debate as to whether it’s too close to the fan-favorite Pokémon series.

When it comes to what we’re playing this week, Jemma played through a little demo called The Pedestrian and highly recommends it. Meanwhile, Kirk is gearing up for some time with Hitman while finishing off Persona 5 Royal. This sparks a fun discussion on whether we prefer longer and larger final dungeons in RPGs, or whether we’re just keen to get to the end.
