RUMOR: Minecraft Headed To Wii U Summer 2014
The wildy popular game Minecraft is no doubt one of the most popular game titles on the planet right now. The title can be found on pretty much anything a game can be played on PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, Raspberry Pi, Xbox 360, and PS3. Minecraft will also be gracing the Vita, PS4, and Xbox One next summer. There has been no news whatsoever regarding any release on a Nintendo handheld until now.
Nintendo Enthusiast is now reporting that a retailer source says Minecraft will be launching on the Wii U next summer next to the Vita, PS4, and Xbox One versions of the game!
However, we have now got word from a retailer source that this serious misdeed will soon be rectified. Minecraft will be coming to Wii U. Nintendo has made an effort to pursue such a release and their efforts have paid off. According to our source, the developer is currently in possession of Wii U dev kits. Although the game is simultaneously in development for Xbox One and PS4, the developer is said to be focusing on the GamePad for the Wii U version. The projected release for all three systems is summer 2014.

I sure hope so that would make my sons day.

To say the sad truth, I’ve never played Minecraft before (though I’ve tried the lite edition on the iPod Touch). I personally think it’s a bit nerdy and overrated. Believe me, I’d rather spend my time playing on my Wii and 3DS.

My son really enjoy the game, I know the Lite version does not have everything to offer as the full game. I feel that this would help the Wii U with some of the struggles the system seems to be having, but over all I love my Wii U and 3DS.

Maybe I’ll give the game another chance…I do a agree that Minecraft could change Wii U sales dramatically. Still have hope for Nintendo’s latest home console!

I personally love the Wii U. I have not played Minecraft myself, however My son loves it. From what I watched him do on-line I understand why he enjoys it. If it comes to the Wii U I definantly will pick it up and give it a try.
