After asking multiple people, it seems developers receive a larger cut of revenue putting games on Wii U’s eshop than XBLA/PSN. And that applies to both digital downloads for retail games and small indie eshop games on Wii U eshop. Publishers would be smart to make Wii U retail games available as digital downloads. Nintendo aggressively seeking indie games.
