Oh, copper. For so many years, you’ve been second fiddle to silver and gold. Sure, you get the wiring and pipes, but most of the time it’s because you’re the cheapest of the bunch. When folks are handing out medals, you go to third place, and not even in your pure form. We all see your dark reddish-orange facade, but on the inside, we know you’re blue.
But in the world of TrackMania DS, Coppers are everything. For every successful race, players receive Coppers, credits that can be used to unlock a variety of game content from the Shop. Want more tracks to race on? Fork over some Coppers and discover new courses to master (and some of the best ones really must be unlocked). Want more track editor parts to spice up your custom courses? Spend and you shall receive. Tired of the same old texture for your car? New skins are on sale now. There are three different sets of unlockables to shop, based on the environment (Stadium, Desert, Rally) of your choosing.

Nintendo adds new and classic games to the Wii Shop Channel at 9 a.m. Pacific time every Monday. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week’s new games are:
WiiWare™
Family & Friends Party (Gammick Entertainment, 1-8 players, Rated E for Everyone, 1,000 Wii Points): Have fun with all your friends and family as you take on some very exciting challenges. This is an interactive board game for as many as eight players of all ages. The goal is to be the first to complete a series of challenges. During each turn, a challenge will be played by one or two players per team depending on the type of challenge you’ve been given. (Other players on your team can still help and support you). There are six different “Single” challenges that must be played cooperatively by members of the same team. Family & Friends Party can also suggest “Versus” challenges, which must be played competitively by all teams at the same time.

Nintendo Calls Out Brazil, China, Korea, Mexico, Paraguay and Spain
REDMOND, Wash., Feb. 25, 2009 – Nintendo has outlined a list of countries around the globe that remain leaders in denying adequate and effective protection of video game products. In its annual comments to the U.S. Trade Representative under the “Special 301” process, Nintendo has singled out countries where piracy is rampant and has asked the United States to take further steps to combat it.
Nintendo reports that piracy of its most popular products, the Nintendo DS™ and Wii™ systems, has increased during the year. Nintendo attributes this increase to the availability of circumvention devices, such as “game copiers” and “mod chips.” These devices skirt the product security embedded in Nintendo’s famous products and enable the play of illegal Nintendo software.
“It is important for parents to note that if users of circumvention devices are children, they may be exposed to unsuitable content downloaded from the Internet and played on their Nintendo systems,” said Jodi Daugherty, Nintendo of America’s senior director of anti-piracy.
Below is a summary of Nintendo’s filing:
Handhelds
– Article up going through all of the Nintendo handhelds
– Nintendo been updating handhelds every 1-2 years
– GBA and DS were supposed to coexist but that didn’t happen
– Bozon feels more could have been done with GBA before moving on to the DS
– TMNT game that came out on consoles wasn’t good but one on GBA was a lot of fun
Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop
– An average but fun game for Wii
– Had to cut a lot of corners to put it on Wii
– Cut out the ability to use camera
– Daemon still has fun mowing down zombies
– Average but totally average and playable game
– Short game – under 10 hours
– Will probably be a rental for most people
– When you use certain weapons zombies just wait to be killed
– Game is really easy – might have scaled back the difficulty
– The point: Daemon had fun playing it, could have been a lot worse, could have been a lot better
– Zombies pop up out of nowhere
– Using the RE4 engine but doesn’t look as good as RE4
– Craig thinks it’s strange to use the RE engine for Dead Rising – different kinds of designs
Blue Dragon Plus
– A lot like Heroes of Mana
– RTS feel
– CG work is amazing – around 30 minutes
– Level up after each battle
– Don’t get to finish level until you kill anything so it’s weird to have level ups
– Really fun but basic
– Review coming up tomorrow
This came across my email, and I haven’t seen Justin put it up, so I am not sure if he received this email. To be safe I decided to jump up on this place and post this up. Man it’s been a while since I have done a post.
