Square Enix has announced a special collection of classic games in the Seiken Densetsu series for the Nintendo Switch. The Seiken Densetsu Collection comprises three games from the series, better known as the Mana series in the West, and will hit the Switch eShop in Japan this June.

The package comes with Adventures of Mana, Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 3, and commemorates the series’ 25th anniversary.

This exciting announcement comes with good and bad news for Western fans – the good news is that the Switch is region free, meaning anyone around the world can download the collection. The bad news is that, unless you’re fluent in Japanese, you won’t be able to engage with the story.

It’s still a very tempting for fans, since Seiken Densetsu 3, which was originally released for the Super Famicom in 1995, has never been released outside of Japan.

Sqaure Enix released a trailer to coincide with this announcement, which you can check out below. Are you a fan of the series? Let us know your thoughts on this collection in the comments section below.
