Shantae will be returning to the 3DS next month with the first physical release for everyone’s favorite half-genie in over ten years.

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse will be released in physical format in both the US and Europe in September, coming almost two years after the eShop release in 2014.

The story sees the hair-whipping, belly-dancing Shantae team up with her usual nemesis, Risky Boots, to save Sequin Land from an evil curse. Shantae gains new weapons in pirate mode to solve puzzles  and tackle ferocious bosses.

The game will also include new content in the form of a new arcade-style game called “Super Shantae Nab!!”

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse will hit the 3DS at retailers in the US and Europe on September 27 and September 30, respectively, priced at $29.99 (£29.99/€29.99).
