For a nice surprise at the end of Nintendo’s ARMS Direct, fans were treated to a brand new trailer showcasing the single player campaign for Splatoon 2.

Dubbed Hero Mode, the single-player campaign pits you and Marie against the hordes of Octarians as you search for the missing Callie and Great Zapfish.

Along the way, you’ll have access to more weapons on your journey, as the roller, slosher, splatling, and dualies will be available to you in Hero mode. Designed to teach you tips and tricks for use in multiplayer, the Splatoon 2 single-player campaign looks to strengthen the solo experience this time around.

Were you already planning on picking up Splatoon 2 when it releases on July 21st? If you were on the fence, does the Hero mode trailer make you want to own the game? We’d love to hear your opinion in the comments below!
