Nintendo has announced that its SplatNet service will permanently close on Saturday 30th September.
The online stat-tracking service lets Splatoon players log in with their Nintendo Network ID to check things like their ranking, gear and equipment, as well as the online status of their friends, including the ability to automatically send a tweet to let them know that they’re playing.
The news was delivered by the Squid Research Lab, which indicated that the update would not impact online multiplayer battles.
