Video game retailers Gamestop and Amazon have begun listing Splinter Cell Blacklist preorders for the Wii U as well as the Xbox, PS3 and PC.  The product description highlights the various “enhanced gameplay options” that are available on the Wii U, such as using the gamepad for weapon and gadget management, and allowing players to quickly mark and execute enemies.

The Wii U looks like it might be left out on the special edition version as both of the above retailers do not list the Collector’s Edition option for the Wii U.  I hope the Wii U gets the Collector’s Edition, because a game coming with a remote-controlled airplane ranks high on my list of coolest video game special edition rewards, others being the Fallout 3 metal lunchbox and the goodie filled loot chest for Borderlands 2.

Splinter Cell Blacklist is going to be released August 20th for the Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Who else is excited for Splinter Cell and probably going to pre-order?
