Square-Enix is now on board with the Virtual Console service.  They will releasing their first title sometime around March in Japan.  The first title to be released will be the SNES classic, Actraiser.

This is great news!  Now that Square-Enix is on board, we should be seeing FF and perhaps even Chrono Trigger at some point.  We’ll have to wait and see.
