Originally released in 1999, Aspyr Media announced this past April that an enhanced port would be released for Switch on May 12th. The release was unfortunately delayed a day before it was scheduled to hit the eShop, but it looks like we’re finally about ready to go.
For those unfamiliar with the game, players take control of a pod racer as depicted in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace to speed through environments such as flaming methane lakes and anti-gravity tunnels. 25 characters from the Star Wars universe are playable in single- and multiplayer modes, racing on tracks that span eight worlds, including Tatooine, Baroonda, and Malastare.
Should be a nice upgrade from the N64 version you’re playing, right?
