The Swindle is a described as a steampunk cybercrime caper – a stealth/action game set in a steampunk world, involving breaking into buildings and escaping with fistfuls of cash. Previously only announced for the PC, it’s now been revealed that this cross between Deus Ex and Spelunky is heading to the Wii U too.

One key feature of the game is procedurally-generated buildings, changing each time you play to create a truly dynamic experience. Break in using whatever means you can, using explosions and hacking techniques to get into buildings and the safes within. Then escape before the alarm is set off – or before the police arrive.

Other features include the ability to upgrade your thief and equip yourself with bio-mods, such as quad jumping and bionic eyes, in order to tackle even bigger buildings.

The Swindle is due for release on the Wii U this year – developers Size Five Games are aiming for an early summer release window. In the meantime, check out the trailer above and let us know your thoughts.
