As of this moment this update is only out for the UK area. I will update this post once it is released other places.

If you are part of the 3DS Ambassadors program you should have downloaded Super Mario Bros. Nintendo has decided to modernize the game that we all failed at many times as a kid. This new update will add the ability for players to make a “restore point” at pretty much anytime in the game. This could be helpful to use right before each Bowser Fight.

You can find the games update by going to the eShop setting and search for update.
