What’s happening on the Nintendo eShop this week? There’s Tales from the Shire, new SNES content, and a Donkey Kong x Tetris event, to name a few items of interest. Let’s dig in!

The highlighted title of this week is Tales from the Shire. This cozy adventure sounds a lot like a sim-style look into the life and times of those Hobbits who don’t chase magic rings. If gardening, cooking, decorating, and costume changes appeal to you – with Hobbits – then this might be up your alley.

Meanwhile, Nintendo’s latest console brought many new features, including mouse controls. Old-school fans couldn’t help but be reminded of the SNES mouse – and Mario Paint. If that’s you, you’ll be pleased to see that the original Mario Paint is now available on the Switch Online collection of classic titles.

Whether you played it back in the day or not, Mario Paint is a super-fun way to test out your mouse and show off some creativity at the same time. Plus, there’s a cool fly-swatter minigame; remember that? To coincide with the release of Mario Paint, you can also check out the soundtrack on the Nintendo Music app.
