Switch witch!

One of the more exciting announcements to come out of Nintendo’s E3 Direct this year was that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition is getting a Switch release. We now have a release date accompanied by the Switch-specific gameplay overview embedded above.

CD Projekt Red announced yesterday that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch will launch on October 15th, 2019, in both digital and physical formats. No matter which format you pick, you’ll be getting every piece of downloadable content available for the game since its initial release in 2015, including the massive Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine story expansions.

You are Geralt of Rivia, mercenary monster slayer. At your disposal is every tool of the trade: razor-sharp swords, lethal mixtures, stealthy crossbows, and powerful combat magic. Before you stands a war-torn, monster-infested continent you can explore at will. Your current contract? Tracking down the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world.

The above video offers an extended look at the Switch version of The Witcher 3, as played by CD PROJEKT RED’s Community Manager Paweł Burza and Paweł Sasko, Senior Quest Designer on Wild Hunt and Lead Quest Designer on the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions. gamescom attendees in Cologne, Germany this week can check the game out in person at the Nintendo booth located in Hall 9 of the entertainment area.
