Lauri Hyvärinen, Trine 2’s producer over at Frozenbyte, spoke with the Official Nintendo Magazine about how pleased they were so far with Nintendo’s Wii U eShop.  “Everything we have seen and heard about the Wii U eShop sounds very promising.”  He also commented on Nintendo’s online strategy, “Nintendo is taking online very seriously with Wii U.”  Lauri Hyvärinen’s hopes for the Nintendo eShop?  “Our hopes as developers are quite simple: inexpensive updating and easy certification process. That’s really it. If the Wii U eShop can deliver either one of these, or even both, then we will be very happy!”

So far it seems as if Nintendo’s eShop for the Wii U has been getting some great attention from developers.  Let’s all hope that Nintendo can keep that momentum and catch up where they have fallen a little behind in the past.  Nintendo vows that their online strategy is more robust this time around and with the rather large number of downloadable titles already announced for the Wii U we can already pretty much confirm that.  Only time will tell and with every passing day we come closer and closer to seeing for ourselves what Nintendo has cooked up.
