Unknown Nintendo Device Approved by Korean RRA
An unknown Nintendo device has been approved by the Korean RRA. The model code doesn’t help much with speculation – it’s known as WIS-009 – but in the description, the device is listed as a compact video player.
Other examples of Nintendo device codes include the 3DS, known as CTR, and 3DS XL, labeled as SPR. The Wii U comes in as WUP and even the 2DS holds a different code, FTR.
There’s not much information to go until an official announcement is made. The mysterious device could be related to Nintendo’s forthcoming Quality of Life platform, or a redesigned GamePad. Or it could be something even more extravagant, like the rumored Nintendo tablet.
Only time will tell, but in the meantime let us what you think this device might be, or what you’d like it to be.
