Developer Asymmetric has announced that comedy-adventure RPG, West of Loathing, is coming to the Nintendo Switch on May 31.

The game is a single-player adventure full of slapstick as you roam the wild west kingdom of Loathing. Gameplay involves a combination of point-and-click and open-world styles. The fighting is done via turn-based sequences, with random items available to enhance your abilities.

You’ll also be able to customize your hero – a stick figure – with over 50 stylish hats and three character classes: Snake Oiler, Beanslinger, and Cow Puncher. You’ll engage with a branching narrative, involving side quests and saloons. Befriend (or be-enemy) travelers you meet along the way, shovel cow patties, or drink whiskey – but stay off those wanted posters!

West of Loathing was released on Steam in August 2017, selling over 150,000 copies so far. It’s also taken home a couple of awards, like PC Gamer’s ‘Best Comedy Game’ and highlighted as one of 2017’s best games by Rolling Stone. The Switch release will be the game’s home console debut.
