The Wii U eShop has been attracting a lot of attention lately, with a number of indie developers releasing games of all genres for download.

This is just the beginning of this booming marketplace, which is opening up to more and more developers each week. Studios are reaching out to gamers through several media, such as Twitter and Kickstarter. Next week gamers will have another avenue for discussion, and will be able to ask questions of several studios via a live nine-hour chat session.

The online event will be hosted on the official website for Werewolf Island, a title from Sinn Development, though multiple studios will be taking part. The session will run from 12pm (noon) Eastern / 5pm UK / 6pm Europe until 9pm Eastern / midnight UK / 1am Europe on Tuesday July 29.

Developers taking part:

  • Sinn Development
  • HullBreach Studios
  • Blue Comet Games
  • John Whitmer
  • Ninja Pig Studios

Games for discussion:

  • Werewolf Island
  • Infinity Runner
  • Acro Storm
  • HullBreach Uncloaked
  • SDK Paint

Additionally, the event is likely to include game announcements and reveals, though the main goal is for gamers to join in on the live chat. Check it out from next Tuesday afternoon at www.werewolfislandgame.com/irc.html

Let us know if you’re planning to join in on this online discussion to find out more about the Wii U eShop and hear directly from developers.
