The developers at Dotemu have shared a first look at upcoming Nintendo Switch release, Windjammers 2. The gameplay trailer shows off the retro action of the disc-based sport, with new characters and abilities also on display.
The trailer introduces us to newcomer, Max, another force to be reckoned with. Fan-favorite Mita is also present alongside the previously confirmed powerhouse Wessel and another newcomer, Grace.
Some of the fresh abilities in Windjammers 2 are also on display, promising to add further depth to the iconic frisbee sport. Competitors can incorporate all-new jumps, smashes, and slapshots into the all-out performances they put up on the court.
Windjammers 2 continues the original’s aesthetic approach, with completely hand-drawn animations. The unique style is designed to bring a retro flair to the proceedings that enhances the action through the use of color and visual effects.
