A free update for Wunderling is now available on the Nintendo Switch. The update, known as Wunderling DX, brings new levels, items, and more to the puzzle platformer.
Wunderling is a platformer with a twist. In the game, you play the role of a low-level video-game minion, much like a Goomba. When you gain the ability to jump, you become more than a mere underling. As everything changes, it’s up to you to stop the game’s hero, Carrot Man, from rescuing Princess Pea.
The updated Wunderling DX brings even more puzzle platforming challenges, adding a new world with 14 unique levels alongside bonus items, story beats, and a speedrun timer. The new stages are hidden in secret portals throughout the game, accessible only after you’ve beaten all the original Wunderling levels.
The team at Bitwave Games is excited to see the update reach fans. Bitwave Games CEO and founder Niklas Istenes had this to say about the new release:
