  • Crackdown sequel NOT LIKELY

  • RE5 will be in stores before/during Holiday 2008
  • Patapon spin-off on PSN
  • Dead Rising sequel, and it’s not being made in L.A.
  • Wii Fit delayed in the US because Nintendo is making a bigger Balance Board

The Morning Show did a segment where they brought in a a Specialist to talk about the Wii and the effects it has had on people, mostly the older generation. Also check out the awesome Zelda playing grandmother.

“THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT,” says my sister Claire in a voice mail. ” You told me to move the Wii upstairs!” She hangs up. She has an uncanny way of getting me to call back quickly. I’m sitting here wondering what in the name of Super Mario Galaxy she is talking about.

Claire was the first person I knew to get a Nintendo Wii console game, two years ago, back when the system was introduced. I did not approve. I was a cranky old video game naysayer, a person who maintained, firmly, that my own children would not have their creativity thwarted, would not be tempted by the evils of pixel addiction that I believed virtual play on video screens to represent. It gave me something to feel superior about.

Major League Eating Coming To Wiiware

February 29, 2008 – Videogame publisher Mastiff on Friday revealed that it is developing an exclusive new WiiWare title called Major League Eating: The Game. The effort will debut with the launch of Nintendo’s WiiWare service on May 12, but the company has not yet set a Wii Point value.

According to Mastiff, the project will make extensive use of the Wii remote to “simulate the fast and furious action of a professional eating contest.”
