Nintendo is bringing another round of the Tetris 99 MAXIMUS CUP to the Nintendo Switch this month. Competing is easy – simply play Tetris 99 online between June 21 and June 23.
What’s in it for you? Well, the top 999 players who win the most points during the contest period will each earn 999 My Nintendo Gold Points. These can be redeemed for games on the Nintendo eShop.
If you’re not already a Nintendo Switch Online member, Nintendo is hoping that this is the time to test it out. In addition to the free-to-download software version of Tetris, members also gain access to online play and Save Data Cloud backup in compatible games, plus a selection of classic NES games with newly added online play and a smartphone app that enhances features of supported games.
The 4th MAXIMUS CUP runs from 12 am PT on June 21 until 11:59 pm PT on June 23. To participate, Nintendo Switch Online members just have to play the Tetris 99 online mode during the contest period.
