Notch Loves Nintendo But Has No Plans For Minecraft on Wii U
Before Christmas we reported on a rumor that Minecraft could be coming to Wii U this summer. While it seemed like a possibility and would be a great asset for Nintendo as the Wii U begins to get its footing, Notch has taken to Twitter and debunked the rumor.
I am not aware of any plans to release a Wii U version of Minecraft.

I agree a Wii U version would make sense, btw. The only reason for no current plans is we've got too much work already. I <3 Nintendo.

These statements made by Markus ‘Notch’ Persson don’t mean that Minecraft is never coming to the Wii U. It just means that Mojang, developers of Minecraft, is not currently working on a version of the game for Wii U. Whether Mojang is currently working on a Wii U version or not, Notch even says himself, “I agree a Wii U version would make sense…” Minecraft has released or will be releasing on pretty much every platform available, so a Wii U version should not be counted out just yet.

I bet it’ll come later.

If people want it enough on the Wii U I am sure it will but i don’t think enough people do.
