With less than two weeks to go, our playlists need trimming to make way for some serious Switch action. How are you filling your gaming days until the Switch is released? Check out our playlist below and let us know what’s on yours this week.

  • Splatoon (Wii U): I have been having HORRIBLE luck while playing Splatoon. It seems like I’m only winning about 3 out of 10 matches every time I play. It’s very frustrating. Still though, I can’t stop playing. I guess the day I stop will be the day I finally lose control and break the Gamepad over my head :\

  • Pokémon GO (Mobile): Now that Gen 2 Pokémon from Johto have been released, there is a lot more for me to do besides hunting for specific Pokémon to evolve. Can’t wait to get myself a Kingdra, which happens to be my favorite Pokémon to battle with.
  • Skyward Sword (Wii): Playing this in anticipation of Breath of the Wild. As I replay the game, I’m being reminded of all the things I love and hate about this entry into the series. It may be a mixed bag in my opinion, but it’s still worth playing through, and I’m enjoying myself.

  • Yoshi’s Woolly World (Wii U): Katelyn and I have been revisiting this game lately and it’s been a lot of fun!  We are in the last area of the game – it gets pretty tough but there’s some very imaginative levels and gameplay variety. Hoping to finish it up before the Switch comes out :)

  • Mario Kart 8 (Wii U): for some reason I’m really looking forward to playing the deluxe version of MK8 on the Switch in April, so thought I’d crank the plain ol’ Wii U version for some racing action. This game never fails to make me smile (especially when I win hehe).
  • Pokémon GO (mobile): So after declaring my last week of this game I’m back with a vengeance! Now that there are more Pokémon to catch I’m motivated to play again, and today alone I caught several Hoothoots and Spinaraks, plus a Xatu, Totodile, Sentret and Murkrow.
  • Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World (3DS): Thought I’d give this one a go via the free demo. It’s just as adorable as I expected!
  • Picross e5 (3DS): I just wanted to play something simple and relaxing this week so dipped back into this puzzle game, one of my faves.
  • Lifespeed (3DS): I’ve been playing this for a review, with mixed feelings. It’s definitely polished in the looks department and carries some solid racing action, but still feels a little unfinished in terms of content and other missing tweaks that could make it great. Check out my Lifespeed review for the full story.
