With the weekend here it’s time to catch up on our playlists. Any Nintendo fan knows there’s simply not enough time to play everything, but we do our best, playing a diverse range of games from sports and RPGs to Kirby’s latest adventure and tactical warfare.

Check out our playlist below and let us know which games you’re playing right now.

  • Splatoon (Wii U): I’ve been playing a lot of Splatoon lately. I wanted to try out the new weapons and get my rank up a bit. I’ve been playing Splatzones the most, then Tower Control. I’m not a big fan of Rainmaker because it’s really frustrating in my opinion.
  • Wind Waker HD (Wii U): I started playing this again after dealing with some anxiety I’ve been having. Video games are such a good distraction for things like that. I have to immerse myself in the game and pay attention to what’s going on, so I have no time to worry. Just a tip for anyone else out there going through this stuff. I’ve just beaten the bird at the Forsaken Fortress for the second time. Now I have to restore power to the Master Sword so I can defeat Ganon. Just a typical day for the hero of time ;)

I got to play a lot of games for my birthday which will make this week more interesting for me :)

  • Wii Sports Club (Wii U): Got to play some good ol’ Wii Sports Club Golf with some friends for my birthday which was a lot of fun!  Golf is just relaxing for me and the variety in the gameplay keeps me coming back for more.
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U): The world in this game still leaves me in awe. The scope and depth to the enemies and locales is incredible.  Been trying to go back and finish up some side quests.
  • Kirby Planet Robobot (3DS): Definitely enjoying my time with Planet Robobot. This week I’ve been trying to collect all of the items in the game and finish up the mini-games. Check out my Kirby Planet Robobot review to find out why I loved it!

  • Dual Core (Wii U eShop): A repeat from last week’s playlist, I hope to have my positive review of this game posted in the next few days.
  • Star Tropics (Wii U VC): Playing the original after the sequel is probably not the way to go, but oh well.  This game is still one of my favorites, even with the high difficulty of the last two chapters.
  • Super Mario Maker (Wii U): Get ready PN fans, cause soon you’ll be able to share your SMM courses with us!  We might even have something cool for you as well.  Btw, have you unlocked Shaun the Sheep yet?

  • Fire Emblem: Fates (3DS): Continuing my journey, and chapter 6 is where you have to choose your path – Birthright, Conquest or Revelation. Even though I’ll ultimately play all three (I bought the special edition) I was very unsure which path to take from the outset. I eventually chose Birthright since it seemed the right path – how could I side with Nohr after that attack??
  • Dan McFox: Head Hunter (3DS eShop): Back to this for my Dan McFox review, it’s a good idea that ultimately offers an average gaming experience. Fun for short bursts or younger gamers.
  • Epic Word Search Collection 2 (3DS eShop): A great word search game for a more relaxed gaming experience, you can check out my Epic Word Search Collection 2 review here.
