Rumor: 3D Mario Wii U Title Could Be Released Before October
With E3 just a little over a month away there are new rumors that the 3D Mario game hinted at during the Nintendo Direct held in Late January will be released on Wii U before October of this year. Late last month CVG.com reported on a rumor that some big Wii U titles are coming soon. Now CVG.com is reporting that this 3D Mario title, which is supposed to be playable at E3 this year, is one of many titles that should be released in the later half of 2013, from July until the end of the year.
Shelly Pearce, the PR director at Nintendo UK, told CVG: “From July onwards we will launch a succession of Wii U titles and we will promote these extensively until the end of the year. Marketing activity will include TV, print, online and PR as well as comprehensive experiential and social media campaigns”.
Shelly Pearce of Nintendo UK also went on to list some of the titles we can expect to see on store shelves by the end of the year. When the following list of games is combined with the release of Rayman Legends, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Batman: Arkham Origins, and possibly other titles that remain currently unannounced, the second half of 2013 could be huge for the Wii U.
“We have a strong line up planned for Wii U in the second half of 2013 including the likes of Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U.”
Other Wii U titles that could possible become a 2013 or early 2014 release are Mario Kart U, Super Smash Bros, Wii Fit U, Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut, Monolith Soft’s ‘X’, and Yarn Yoshi.

Sheesh… so it would be pretty far along at this point!
I’m kinda stoked to see what it’s going to be like… probably not Galaxy 3, but then what? And will they return to a heavy emphasis on exploration, or stick with more streamlined Galaxy-style platforming?
Perhaps new paintings have been installed in Peach’s castle, and Mario must return in glorious HD? Or maybe he’ll visit an entirely new locale? Can’t wait to see.

Galaxy 3 would be pretty cool, but I’d like to see something new, such as a Mario RPG.
