Man one year, it only seems like yesterday. As I anounced on Friday, we will be posting peoples Wii experiences through out the day, Waiting in line for the Wii, the first time they got their Wii, or their favorite Wii experience. If you haven’t sent yours in yet, there is still time. You can email them to me anytime today at: jahiggin30120@gmail.com, and I will post them up. It doesn’t have to be to long, paragraph or two will be fine. If you want to wright a whole page like I did, go ahead, thats fine as well.
I am going to post someones Wii experience story now, and that someones is going to be me. Its kinda long, actually its really long. I will be impressed if you read the whole thing. If you do, you will probably be able to tell at which point I started to get tired. I enjoyed writing it, and thats all that count. Hit the jump to check out my story:
Victorious Boxers Revolution
– Gave the game 4.5 – was actually going to be lower, but decided against it because of the ability to use a classic controller.
– Much worse than Wii Sports boxing, which wasn’t all that great to start off with.
– Poor motion recognition.
– Camera issues, super buggy – “total pain in the ass.”
Smartypants
– Gave the game 7.0
– $49 which should be $29 at most – the content in the game is far too slim for the price they charge for it.
– It’s a fun game – “really good party game that anyone can play.” Good trivia game.
Avatar
– Gave the game 6.2
– Only decent – very straightforward game.
– Matt’s a fan of the animated series but disappointed with the games.

Taken from from a reader of consumerist.com;
Saturday morning (11/10) I witnessed some amazing sleaziness over at the Princeton,NJ Best Buy. I was standing near the back of the store when one of their salespeople came strolling from a back door holding a Nintendo Wii over his head, and started walking the aisles announcing that it was their last unit. I followed, wondering both how quickly would it get snatched up and how quickly could I decide if I wanted to buy it. It took a few minutes for a couple to come rushing up to claim it, exclaiming how happy their kids were going to be. I went back to looking around the store. About 30 minutes later, I heard this announcement on the store’s PA: “Attention Best Buy customers! Julie is now walking through the store with our last Nintendo Wii! If you’re looking for a Nintendo Wii, please look for Julie!” And there was another salesperson doing the same thing as the first – walking the aisles of the store holding the Wii above her head.
I was now in the store solely to witness more of this sales technique. The second Wii took just over 15 minutes to sell – I overheard two manager-types (one in a suit, the other a yellow shirt) discussing it, the suit asking “Did Julie sell that Wii, yet? How long?” And then “Wait 40 minutes and send out the next one.” Too long for me to wait around, so I left (after stopping in at the store’s new Apple niche to set the a Macbook’s home page to the Best Buy tagged stories on Consumerist).
10. “Super Mario Sunshine” (GC)- Mario’s squeaky clean appearance on the Gamecube. Was it me, or was all the fun sucked out of a game where you go around cleaning things. I understand that that wasn’t the only thing you do in the game, but, I mean, come on. This game barely made it on the list.
I’m well aware that I could be less than twenty four hours away from a drastic overhaul of this list, once “Super Mario Galaxy” makes its way into my hands, but right now, this is where the list stands. I have my fingers crossed that “Galaxy” will be able to change my mind about Mario in 3-D, but I’m still a bit skeptical. Only time will tell.
9. “Mario Bros.” (Arcade) – wait… Mario has a brother? Luigi, the neglected younger sibling makes his first appearance in one of the greatest displays of sibling rivalry in the history of video games. Which brother could stomp more koopas, and collect more coins? From one younger sibling to another… my money was always on Luigi.

Norwalk, CONN. (PRWEB) November 13, 2007 — When the leaves begin to turn color, it’s probably a good idea to at least start thinking about holiday shopping, reports Passport to Fun(SM), a premier recreation and entertainment savings program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC. After all, the holiday season seems to kick off earlier and earlier every year, and no one wants to be left behind as the hottest toys and gadgets are swept off the shelves by ambitious (or, in the eyes of some people, obnoxious) pre-holiday-rush shoppers.
PassportToFun recognizes that holiday traditions are deeply rooted in almost every family across the United States, and one of those traditions involves holiday shopping. For some folks, getting an early jump on buying gifts is almost hard-coded in their DNA. For others, the holidays just wouldn’t feel right unless they waited until the last possible second to begin their shopping ritual, online or otherwise.
Unfortunately for many of those last-minute consumers, they usually need to complete the shopping equivalent of a Hail Mary pass to score the most popular gifts of the season. To offer them a few hints on what to look for if they happen to wander across a shopping opportunity before their appointed rounds, Passport to Fun takes a quick look at a few of the toys receiving the most attention early in the 2007 holiday season:
