Lead the resistance.

It’s been a bit since we’ve heard about The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics, En Masse Entertainment’s tie-in with Netflix’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. A prequel to Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal film released in 1982, the 10-episode Age of Resistance series was released to critical acclaim in August of this year.

If you’ve been waiting since then to further explore the planet Thra, we now know when you’ll be able to do so. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics will be released for the Switch on February 4, 2020.

Developed by BonusXP, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is a strategy RPG that reimagines the world of The Dark Crystal as a tactical strategy game.

Drawing upon decades of developer experience, BonusXP aims to deliver a game with both tactical depth for genre veterans and accessibility for those less familiar with turn-based-tactics titles. With over 15 unique characters and jobs to build a party with, players can experiment with hundreds of different unit combinations to form strategies that fit their playstyle. As players explore the fantasy world of Thra, they will embark on an epic quest to unite the seven Gelfling clans against the evil Skeksis in a never-seen-before sidestory that runs parallel to the Netflix Original Series from earlier this year.

So, you’ve now got two months to catch up with the series so you can be familiar with the game’s characters and settings when it drops next year. Of course, you can also get more information on the game at Nintendo.com and or the game’s official website, where you can also sign up for email alerts.
