WILTON, CT – May 12, 2010 – The Entertainment Consumers Association (ECA), the non-profit membership organization that represents gamers, today confirmed that they will be submitting a friend of the court document (amicus brief) to the U.S. Supreme Court regarding the upcoming violence in video games case, Schwarzenegger v. EMA. Additionally, the association has created a gamer petition, which will be attached and submitted along with the brief, both formally becoming part of the official court documents.
“The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the State of California’s infamous ‘violent video game case’ later this year, or early next,” said Jennifer Mercurio, Vice President and General Counsel for the ECA. “At that time, the Court is going to listen to oral arguments on whether to agree with previous federal court findings or not. Agreeing would mean that they believe that video games are, and should continue to be, First Amendment protected speech; just like movies and music. The Court disagreeing would mean that video games should be treated differently, which the ECA strongly believes to be unconstitutional and could lead to new bills and laws curtailing video game access in states across the country.”

Let me introduce our newest member to the purenintendo crew, Theo Brown. Kevin and I have known Theo for a few years now and I am sure he will be a big part of our world domination. Theo is a hard core Nintendo and movie fan. He brings his fresh ideas and skills in cinematography to the table already full of greatness. I am excited to see what Theo has in-store for all of us. For now, enjoy his first thoughts.
So, here at Pure Nintendo we attempt to find out new stuff about, well, Nintendo. Like my mom when she found out I was getting black eyes by older girls, we too don’t take too kindly when people make fun of Nintendo. So, before James, Justin, and Kevin pull me back into my cage, I would like to give my own, humble opinion, about how I feel about the iPhone owners telling me that the DS is a way of the past, and how their gaming experience is superior.
Really iPhoners? (Yes, I just made that up. And trademarked it.) Better gaming? Lets be honest here, you don’t even have any buttons. And no, mashing the general area of a screen doesn’t count. Of course, you can always shake the phone like your some sort of seizureing idiot. If that’s what gaming is to you, just buy some strobe lights or watch Pokémon. Hmm, convulsing on the ground? Yep, looks like the same “experience” to me.
And more game selection? I’d have an easier time trying to explain the difference between the colors green and emerald to Stevie Wonder than find an actual good game on the iPhone. It’s funny, you iphoners need to keep buying little apps that do the EXACT SAME THING, while I, on the other hand, have kept Mario Kart in my DSi for the past 11,394 years, and still haven’t gotten tired of it.

In flagship Home Video Games business, “Monster Hunter Tri” (for Wii) and “Monster Hunter Freedom Unite” (for PlayStation Portable) continued to grow in Japan. And existing products such as “Resident Evil 5″ (for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) and “Street Fighter IV” (for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) which were released late in the previous year achieved healthy growth in the overseas markets. However, weak sales of some new titles besides the releases of “Lost Planet 2″ (for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360), “Super Street Fighter IV” and “Monster Hunter Tri” for overseas were postponed to the next fiscal year significantly depressed sales compared to previous year.
1. To create the battle face, a Photo Dojo warrior might think of previous enemies or undesirable food combinations such as brussel sprouts in spoiled milk. Practice battle face in the mirror until the mirror begins to weep in fear.
2. Achieving the proper kung fu pose is simple. A Photo Dojo warrior must train in martial arts for a minimum of 12 years in isolation. Now pose.
3. To create the fireball sound effect, a Photo Dojo warrior must think like a fireball for 10 minutes and then make a sound.
4. A Photo Dojo warrior must be able to face opponents with an unflinching stare. Think about a schoolyard bully from your youth. Imagine that he has been cloned 100 times and that all of the clones are running toward you at high speed. If you do not cry, you are ready for Photo Dojo.
5. To give your eyes the necessary intensity required for Photo Dojo warrior creation, imagine that each of your eyes is an exploding supernova, then stare at a bowl of ice. Repeat until the ice melts instantly. Now you are ready for Photo Dojo.

Today Team6 announced that they will develop a brand new version of the well known franchise “FlatOut”! Little is known from this promising title, but these will be the four game modes available:
