If you’ve already bought Trine: Enhanced Edition and Trine 2: Complete Story for the Nintendo Switch, you’ll be happy to know that Trine 3 will hit the Nintendo eShop on July 29th. Collection (momentarily) complete.

If you haven’t already purchased the previous games in the series, you can instead choose to wait for GameTrust’s release of the Trine Series 1-3 collection which will be available in North American GameStop stores on August 27th.

Of course, you also need to consider Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince which GameStop lists as being available for Switch on September 30th. You can buy that game individually or as part of Modus’ Trine Ultimate Collection that provides all four games in the Trine series.

However and whenever you choose to get it, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power provides:

  • A fairytale world of breathtaking scenery as you face myriad physics-based puzzles, wonderful contraptions, dangerous foes, and enchanting creatures.
  • Three playable characters: Pontius the Knight, Zoya the Thief and Amadeus the Wizard, each with his/her own skills and unique abilities.
  • Seven story-driven chapters and eleven puzzle-solving, skill-focused Lost Pages.
  • Online and local co-op multiplayer for up to three players.

As for this entry’s story:

The three heroes try to return their extraordinary gifts to the Artifact called Trine, and so they meddle with powers beyond their understanding: Trine shatters, and a heartless ancient sorcerer escapes. With only a broken artifact to guide them, the heroes must try and repair the damage they’ve caused…or the damage that might yet be done.

The digital download of Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power will be available July 29th for $19.99. For more information on the Trine series, visit
