The weekend is here and it’s time to catch up on some serious game time. After a busy week playing the likes of Metroid: Samus Returns and the new Project Octopath Traveler demo, we’re ready to squeeze in some multiplayer fun with the likes of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2 and Rocket Fist! - Forma.8 (Switch): I just reviewed this one. It’s a pretty interesting game. You can check out what I thought about it in my Forma.8 review!
- Splatoon 2 (Switch): I’ve actually only played this once or twice this week. Sadly I’ve been too busy to sit down and enjoy a long play sesh.

Metroid: Samus Returns (3DS): If you haven’t already, please take a look at our Metroid: Samus Returns review. A game this great deserves strong sales, so I hope everyone picks up a copy. I need to grab the amiibo. I also need to 100% the game, as that 83% I saw after the credits rolled left me wondering about what I missed. Samus is back!

Project Octopath Traveler Demo (Switch): This game had me curious, so once I learned there was a demo, I had to check it out. The boost battle system is pretty intuitive, and using it strategically to get the better of your foes is a lot of fun. Of the two characters you could play as in the demo, I think I enjoyed Primrose’s story more. It’s worth playing both characters though, as Olberic plays much differently.

- Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (Switch): I’m at the boss of World 2–really loving the visuals and gameplay. I think Rabbid Mario is becoming my favorite of the bunch so far :)
- Overcooked (Switch): Been playing this a lot with friends and co-workers–what a fun time!
Heath
- Pokemon Shuffle (mobile): As always, I’m playing Pokemon Shuffle, though I’m still stuck on stage 340.
- R.B.I Baseball (Switch): I have been playing this for my upcoming review.
Jemma
- Rocket Fist (Switch): I had a lot of fun with this well-made game that crosses Bomberman with billiards. I only wish there was more to the single-player mode! Check out our Rocket Fist review to find out the full details.
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch): I jumped into some multiplayer races this week with friends – it’s always a good time!
- Project Octopath Traveler Demo (Switch): Like Alex, I was curious about this demo, but I’ve only scratched the surface of Primrose’s story. It looks glorious though!
- LEGO City Undercover (Switch): Some more open-world action with Chase McCain this week, still on our never-ending quest for 100%! We’re up to 68.3%, feels like we’re finally making real progress!
- Magikarp Jump (mobile): Not a whole lot pf progress this week, I’m now a rank 77 Trainer with my generation 121 Magikarp, Erma. Still working on the Elite Four League, which is taking FOREVER.
