While the post-holiday season isn’t known as the busiest time for gaming, the Pure Nintendo crew reviewed over 25 games during that stretch. Ten of those were for the Wii U, which is going out with some high notes. Two of its final retail releases (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild & Shantae: Half-Genie Hero) both received a 9.5 score. Some smaller games continue making their way to the Wii U eShop too, and we’ll continue doing our best to cover as many as possible.

Over a dozen 3DS games found their way out of the PN review queue, including Nintendo published titles like Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World & Tank Troopers. We also introduced our first Second Chance review, with Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX. A number of big 3DS games are scheduled for release in the coming months, so look forward to more review coverage.

With the Switch having recently launched, we are scrambling to bring you game reviews for the new console. While many are still to come, we did manage to bring two – Snipperclips, and, of course, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Both scored well.
