In what has been an epic 3 month stretch for Pure Nintendo, our crew has reviewed over 70 games! So much for the summer months being a quiet time for gaming.
The 3DS continues to go strong. Retail releases like Metroid: Samus Returns and Monster Hunter Stories scored big with us. Digitally, we saw Chicken Wiggle on the eShop, and Pokemon Gold/Silver on the Virtual Console among the standouts.
The Wii U continues to slow, but we actually saw a slight uptick in games reviewed. There are some inexpensive options, and even a free title to consider.
Switch is where the bulk of our attention has been. Games like Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Pokken Tournament DX, and Splatoon 2, are among the big retail winners with us. The eShop has scored a number of hits as well, with SteamWorld Dig 2 the most recent. The ACA NEOGEO line continues to plug along too. With over 40 Switch games covered, there’s something for everyone.
